SKYMISSION · VERSION 2026-09-04-1

Terms of Service

These terms govern use of this SkyMission installation. SkyMission is beta software and a planning aid, not an aviation authority or flight authorization service.

1. Service and beta status

Features, map sources, calculations, exports, and availability may change. The operator may maintain, restrict, or discontinue functions when reasonably necessary.

2. Account and acceptable use

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and use the service lawfully. Do not attack the service, bypass access controls, upload unlawful content, or interfere with other users.

3. Flight responsibility

The remote pilot and operator remain solely responsible for airspace checks, authorizations, risk assessment, weather, obstacles, people, aircraft limitations, and legal operation. A generated route or warning does not establish that a flight is safe or lawful.

4. Mission data and removal from the account

Mission data is stored for planning, history, safety, support, security investigation, statistics, and the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims. For internal activity statistics and administration-only rankings, SkyMission records the account and organization reference, activity type, record identifier, completion count, and timestamps; names of missions, routes, coordinates, and assessment answers are not copied into this activity log. Choosing Delete removes an archived mission from the normal account view but does not erase it from the system database. In this beta, the restricted mission record is not deleted automatically. Access is limited to authorized system administration and lawful authority requests.

5. Maps, satellite imagery, and open-source components

Street maps are provided by OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License (ODbL). The optional worldwide satellite layer uses Esri World Imagery and its contributing imagery providers under their applicable service and data terms; the required attribution is shown directly on the map. SkyMission does not create an offline tile copy. The interactive map uses the open-source MapLibre GL JS library under the BSD 3-Clause licence. Map, imagery, and drone catalogue data can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Always verify critical information with authoritative current sources.

6. Availability and liability

The service is provided on a beta and best-effort basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for decisions made solely from generated plans, unavailable service, or inaccurate third-party data. Mandatory liability remains unaffected.

7. Changes and governing law

Material changes receive a new terms version and may require renewed acceptance. The official SkyMission.info service is governed by Luxembourg law, without restricting mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.

Technical development statistics

SkyMission processes aggregated, non-device-specific technical statistics to develop and troubleshoot the Beta platform. The diagnostic dataset and its 365-day retention are described on the Privacy page.
